Dua for week 25th march - 1st april
DUA FOR WEARING NEW CLOTHES:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي مَا أُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتِي وَأَتَجَمَّلُ بِهِ فِي حَيَاتِي
All praises are due to Allah, who clothed me with which I cover my body and with which I adorn myself in my life (tirmidhi)
Hazrat Umar (R.A.) stated that Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) said that if a person recites the following dua when dressing in new clothing and gives the old clothing in charity, then Allah will protect him both in this life and the Aakhirah and he will be under Allah's cover (i.e. he will be protected from all calamities and his sins will be hidden).
Note: While removing clothing recite "Bismillah" as Satan does not look at the private parts due to this.
DUA WHEN DRESSING:
"All praise belongs to Allah who has clothed me without my effort or strength".

1st april-8th april:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ "All praise be to Allah, who gave us life after killing us (sleep is a form of death) and to Him will we be raised and returned".
(Bukhari, Muslim)

11th april'11
O Allah, I seek a good entry and a good exit. We take Allah's name to enter and to exit and rely on Him who is our Lord. After this dua greet the members of the household.
(Mishkat)
Jaabir (R.A.) narrates that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated that when a man enters his home and makes Dhikr (remembers Allah) and also makes Dhikr at meal times, then Satan says to his colleagues that the night cannot be spent there nor can they partake of the peoples food and if no Dhikr was made on entering the house, then Satan says to his colleagues that they have an opportunity to spend the night there and if no Dhikr was made at meal times, then Satan tells his colleagues that they will be able to stay there and also get food.
(Mishkat, Chapter on food)

This Week's Dua:When Leaving Home بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِBismillah, Tawakkaltu, ‘a-lallah, wa laa hawla wa laa quwatta illah billahIn the name of Allaah, I place my trust in Allaah, and there is no might nor power except with Allaah~*~ The Messenger of Allah (sa) said: Whoever says – upon going out of his home (the above duaa) it is said to him: You have been sufficed, protected, and guided, and the shaytan would move aside from him, then say to another shaytan: What access do you have to a man that has been guided, sufficed, and protected?” (Reported by Abu dawood, An-Nisa’ee , and At-Tirmithi)~*~

I thought we'd learn a short and sweet dua this week.
One we can make for someone else this time:
When You See a Muslim Laughing.
"Allah keep you laughing"
(Bukhari, Muslim)

When I sneeze, I say:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ Alhumdulilah "All praise is for Allah"
and my Brother/Sister in reply: يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ Yar-hamukAllah “May Allah have mercy upon you."
To which I say: يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ
Yah-dee kumullahu wa yuslihu baalakum “May Allah guide you and set right your affairs.”
..If the sneezing person does not recite "Alhamdulillaah" then it is not necessary to reply but if he does say so then it is waajib to reply.

Alternative duas for when someone is in difficulty:
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
"Allah is sufficient for us and He is the Best Guardian".
"Allah is my Lord, I do not ascribe anything unto Him".
"O Alive and everlasting One, I beseech You by Your mercy".
"O Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely I have oppressed my soul by sinning".
The Qur'an states that these words were recited when Yunus (A.S.) called upon Allah from the belly of the fish. Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated in a hadith that when any Muslim makes this dua via these words to Allah, then Allah surely accepts his duas. (Tirmidhi)
There is no power or strength except through Allâh.
