"Wondrous are the believer's affairs. For him there is good in all his affairs, and this is so only for the believer. When something pleasing happens to him, he is grateful, and that is good for him; and when something displeasing happens to him, he is patient, and that is good for him."(sahih Muslim) “The sign of a person having acquired the love for Allâh ta’ala is that he is perpetually grateful to Allâh ta’ala for every single bounty and patient during times of adversity.
He believes with his mind and soul and declares with his tongue that all the good that he has is nothing but bounty conferred by Allâh ta’ala without him deserving them.
On the contrary, if he is inflicted by any adversity, he accepts that this is due to his shortcomings, hence a mercy from Allâh ta’ala, for he understands that his patience during this adversity will be a means of his sins being pardoned.”

“Whenever we are faced with a difficulty, we should tell ourselves that the reasons for exercising sabr (patience) are few, and the reasons for shukr (being grateful to Allâh ta’ala) are many because the Favours of Allâh ta’ala are far more in number than the few difficulties we are encountering.
For example if we have a head ache, then we should remind ourselves that only one part of the body is in pain, while the rest of the body is well and healthy. Thus there is only one reason to be patient and many reasons for being thankful.”

For those who practice patience, musîbah (adversity) is a gift from Allâh ta’ala and not a punishment. This is because patience in the face of adversity brings the proximity of Allâh ta’ala very rapidly.
Many a time, patience guarantees such rewards and blessings that cannot be acquired solely through one’s efforts in ‘ibâdah (worship) and obedience to Allâh ta’ala.
“Certainly those who observe patience will get their reward in full without measure.” (39:10)

Are you not feeling well?Have sabr, and rejoice for:“Because of illness :
1. Sins are forgiven.
2. The Mercy of Allah descends upon the sick.
3. The sick person is elevated in status.
4. The du’as of the sick are accepted.”by Abu Abdullah Ibne Ismail

Ali (RADI ALLAHU ANHU) said, "Verily Sabr is to Eeman what the head is to the body. When the head is cut off, the body falls. (He then raised his voice) Verily there is no Eeman for he who has no Sabr (patience)." ~*~ There are three types of Sabr that the Muslim must have:a. Sabr in the obedience of Allah. For example, One must be patient and perform their Fajr at it's time.b. Sabr in not disobeying Allah. Like someone might say, "I just have to insult him." No, we are commanded by He who gave us our tongues to not follow the whispers of Shaytaan. And we must have Sabr in not disobeying Allah.c. Sabr in what Allah Decrees on us. For example, if our child was to pass away we should be patient and seek the reward of Allah in our patience and say only that which is pleasing to Allah.~*~ There are two keys. If we understand them we shall open the door to Sabr in our lives:The First Key: know that our souls, families and wealth do not belong to us, they belong to Allah. He gave it to us as a loan to see what we would do with it. And when he takes it back He is taking back what belongs to Him. We had nothing before the blessing and we'll have nothing after it. We did not create the blessing from nothing, so how can we claim that it belongs to us.The Second Key: We are on a journey and the destination is the hereafter - Paradise or Hell. We shall be leaving the Dunya behind us and we'll come back to Allah by ourselves. This is what needs our focus. And if Allah is pleased with us then no worry. If He is not pleased with us then all worry.~*~ Let me draw your attention to a verse. Listen carefully. Allah revealed:[Guard strictly the (five obligatory) prayers, especially the middle Salah and stand before Allah in obedience.]- alBaqarah 2/238The verses before this deal with divorce. The verses after it deal with divorce. Why was this verse placed in the middle? The Ulama' have suggested, Wa Allaahu a'lam, that in the hard times that a person goes through (especially in a divorce) they should not forget the remembrance of Allah, the Salah. And it is that Salah coupled with Sabr that will pull them through. [O you who believe! Seek Help in Patience and Salah. Truly, Allah is with those that are patient.]-Baqarah 2/153 Allah ta'ala wants us to give pass on the following good news: [And give good news to the patient who, when afflicted with calamity say, "Truly, to Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return."/They are those on whom the Salawat (i.e. the blessing and forgiveness) of their Lord is upon them, and who shall receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones] -Baqarah 2/157Allah promised anyone who wants to work on his or her patience three things: Forgiveness, Mercy, and guidance. Who could ask for more?

YOU SHALL BE TESTED
Allah says in the Quran --- Do people think that they will be left alone because they say, "We believe," and will not be tested? Indeed We tested those who (lived) before them (Al-Ankaboot)
“We shall certainly test you by means of some fear, poverty, loss of wealth and life. And, give glad tidings (of thawaab) to those who adopt Sabr (in the face of these calamities). (Surah Baqarah)
BUT HAVE SABR, INSHA ALLAH, AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED
Umm Salamah narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallalahu alayhi wassalam) say, "Any Muslim that says when a calamity befalls him that which Allah commanded him: To Allah we belong and to him we return. O Allah reward me in this calamity and give me better then it - (any Muslim that says this) Allah will grant him better than (that which he lost)." - Muslim

Regarding the Preservence and fortitude of some nations of the past, Allah Ta’ala says: “They lost not courage because of the hardships which confronted them in the Path of Allah. They were not weakened nor were they awed by the enemy. Allah Ta’ala loves such Saabireen (those who are steadfast and have patience).” (Sura Aale Imraan) Men of Allah are steadfast in the face of the enemy. Hardships and obstacles confronting them in their journey towards Allah Ta’ala do not deter them. Their fortitude and steadfastness-their Sabr-are such that they do not descend to flattering the enemies of Allah Ta’ala. Their gaze is focused on Allah Ta’ala and they know that victory is theirs.

Surah Al-Inshirah (Peace of Heart)So undoubtedly, along with hardship there is ease. (5) Undoubtedly, along with hardship there is ease. (6)
To understand this, lets get a bit grammatical.. Insha Allah, you will find this very interesting- and will once again be amazed at the intricacies and beauty of the Arabic Language- and subhan Allah the precision of the Quran Grammatically, if the Arabic definite article al- is prefixed to an arabic noun and is repeated with the same definite article al-, they refer to the same antecedent. However, if the same noun is repeated without the definite article, they refer to different antecedents. The word al-'usr '[the]hardship' in verse [6] is the repetition of al-'usr '[the] hardship' occurring in verse [5]. It does not refer to a new hardship.
In contrast to this, the word yusr 'ease' in both verses occur without the definite article. This indicates that the second yusr 'ease' in verse [6] is a different antecedent to the yusr 'ease' occurring in verse [5].
Thus it may be concluded that there is only one 'usr 'hardship' and two yusr 'twofold ease'. 'Twofold ease' does not mean twice as much. In fact, it means 'manifold ease'. The verse signifies that only one kind of hardship will face him, but in the wake of it many kinds of ease are assured. Subhan Allah- Is this not enough reason to do shukr and have sabr? ~*~ ( From: www.harunyahya.com/some_secrets_of_the_quran_06.php )As Allah SWT informs us in these verses, no matter what sort of adversity a person experiences or how a situation is overcome, Allah creates a path that will lead to a way out and gives relief to believers. Indeed, a believer will witness that Allah grants ease along with all hardships if he remains steadfast in his patience. ... Whoever has fear of Allah - He will give him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect. Whoever puts his trust in Allah - He will be enough for him... (Surat at-Talaq: 2-3)
