Do you feel like your prayer is not getting answered?Raise your hands. The Prophet sws said, “Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy. If His servant raises his hands to Him (in supplication) He becomes shy to return them empty.” (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi) The Prophet sws told us, “Do not stop making du`a’, because nobody who makes du`a’ is forsaken.” (Hakim) the Prophet sws said, “For whoever the door of du`a’ opened, for him the doors of mercy are opened.” (Tirmidhi). There is a beautiful hadith qudsi which states that Allah sometimes delays the answer because He loves hearing the sound of His servant (At-Tabari). Many of us would ask and then when we get what we want we stop going to Allah; but imagine that when the answer is delayed, Allah loves to hear YOUR voice again as you call Him.

Happiness will always come and go, but what's sunshine with no rain? What's joy without no pain?

In God, there is no sorrow or suffering or affliction. If you want to be free of all affliction and suffering, hold fast to God, and turn wholly to Him, and to no one else. Indeed, all your suffering comes from this: that you do not turn toward God and no one else.
–Imam Al Ghazali

“Sometimes, you just need a little time to yourself with Quran in your hand, tears in your eyes, and Allah in your heart.”
